Idk abt the current build cuz it's been a while since i played, but when i played attacking sophia while she slept would just send you back to the church as well
I got sent back to the main menu after using head pat (that you get from the church) on her several times until she got serious.
Oh yeah using the headpat makes her pissed at you, tho i think in her last fight if u use it instead she gets a buff instead of insta killing you
