Hello! I'm one of a small group of friends that get together every Monday night to play Text Adventures on a YouTube stream. We've just finished Jinxster (last night) and were discussing what to play next. I had already suggested your game. Do you think it's ready? Also, I'm guessing that it might be useful/valuable/interesting to watch/listen to the thought processes of a small group attempting to solve your game? Please let us know! Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/@Hit_it_with_a_Hammer

Hi ! Of course you are more than welcome to play this 'game', but following up Jinxter is quite a thing. That game is Magnetic Scrolls golden-age if memory serves me.
The War of the Worlds is not really a 'Text Adventure' as such. It is more an interactive story, so there is not really that much puzzle-solving in there. The choices you make do have an impact of the content of the dialogs, but I designed it in such a way that you could never really get stuck and hopefully enjoy the wonderful story that HG Wells wrote for us.
Is The War of the Worlds a game for puzzle-solving for a group? I personally doubt it. Is it worth a look? Sure it is! It is something different, especially on Commodore 64.
Great to see such a group of people together who enjoy playing these lost-art games. Keep an eye out on my channel, there might by something down the road with proper puzzle-solving, fantasy and I hope a little humor down the road. Little less text though.
Regards,
Michel
PS: I just released version 1.0 of The War of the Worlds, so have a look and enjoy!
