Honestly, I know I’m just a face in the crowd right now, but it's worth a shot.

Full disclosure: I haven't actually touched Studio Hearts yet, though I definitely will right after posting this. Because of that, I don't have any critiques for you just yet.

That said, Stormside was incredible, and that cliffhanger was amazing. I haven't been able to find an active Discord link since most of the invites seem expired, but I wanted to reach out anyway because I have a serious proposition for you.

Straight up: if I paid you a wage to finish that AVN, would you take it?

I get that you don't want it to feel like a job, and I respect that downside. But look at it this way: it helps fund whatever you've got going on in life, and it keeps the community happy. I'm not looking for anything in return—no ownership, no clout. I have the money cause i got it like that, that's the only reason I'm offering. Whatever your answer is, I'll absolutely respect it.

Name your price. I’m ready to see this AVN take off. Keep in mind I won't set deadlines or stress you out; you can just work whenever you find the time.

Just consider it. No matter what else you have going on, if you find the time, think of this as a bonus for giving the community an amazing story. (Though, on a side note, I’d love to learn how to code in Ren'Py myself lol).

As kind of an offer as this is, I must decline. Putting Stormside on hiatus was not a matter of money, but instead one of motivation. Granted, the loss of motivation was intially caused by a money issue, but it was never about what the game was earning, more just how much time I had to actually work on it. These days, I think any amount of money would still make it difficult for me to work on it given what I'm currently working on. I may return to it after I finish SH, but probably not in the same form. I'd like to finish the story I had planned more than I'd like to finish all the branching stuff.

Additionally, SH has its own fanbase at this point, and so far things are going well with it, so I intend to see it through to the end.

Thank you for the offer, but I plan to work on SH until it's completed. We shall see what I'll be working on after that.

With regard to learning renpy, the discord link on this itch page should be valid, and there's a public dev room there. If you want to get started learning how to do this kind of stuff, drop a message in the public-dev-room channel, and some initial resources shall be provided. (As with most things, the basics can be learned from videos, but once you have the basics down, people are the main learning resource.)

Also, Stormside does still technically have one update to be released, so that cliffhanger won't last forever. I just have no particular ETA on it. It's mostly complete, but like I said, motivation issue, not a money issue. I'm having too much fun making SH at the moment.

I completely respect that, man. I’m glad you’re passionate about your new project, and I fully respect your decision. As for my own journey with Ren'Py, I’m incredibly eager to get started. Honestly, I’m too stubborn to give up on it—I've already got a whole storyline, love interests, and everything planned out. It's just handling the Honey Select 2 renders that's a massive amount of work, lol! But yeah, I'm excited to finally start my own adventure.

As for your choice regarding Stormside, I will happily back down. Thank you for taking the time to reply; it means a lot just to be heard. I'm sorry for the rough patch you went through that caused the initial burnout, and I do hope that somewhere down the road you get to finish that story. But for now, I can't wait to dive into Studio Hearts.

Also, thanks for the heads-up on the Discord invite! I'm definitely going to check everything out. It’s great to have a starting point, and I’m glad it’s in your community.

Just a tip games with Hs and Hs2 program are not accepted on Steam because of Copyright Issues. Check out all your choices before make your choice and remember when buying assets make sure you can use it with the gaming software that you choose. A little trick I do after I make a background render is to take a photo of it then edit or blur it even change the background colors in the camera option for alien worlds. Good luck 😉
