"- NPC Background Simulation: NPCs can interact with each other and form friendships, rivalries, and romantic attachments of their own as you play the game. If you're in the right place at the right time, you may see some of this play out, or you can watch their Elkbook posts to keep tabs.
- Year Advancement: You can now progress to more advanced classes, choose new electives, and get one chance to change your major. College seniors will graduate, converting to townies or departing the narrative entirely. And a crop of new freshmen will come in, giving you new people to meet.
- Pregnancy: Pregnancy is now simulated from beginning to end for both the PC and NPCs, ending with either adoption or sending the baby back home."
