i think a major problem with this game is that it feels like it was made for YOU only. If you don't calculate everything perfectly, you're going to get hurt or die without knowing what you did wrong. You dodge the obstacles, you die. you die... hmmm, what should i do. Oh! I should dodge the obstacles. You, see? The game isn't made for beginners, which... is bad because at one point, everybody who will ever play your game is a beginner. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing bad about a hard platformer. Think about geometry dash, the thing you're inspired by. but there, half the jumps are actually possible, and if you die, you can immediately spot what you did wrong, and once you restart, you'd fix that mistake. BUT!! frame perfect jumps aren't BAD if you know what you're doing... But the player never knows what they're doing. The frame perfect jumps start 3 levels in, and the clunkiness in the controls show 2 levels in. There is no room in the game to get USED to the controls-- you are just immediately chucked into the difficult platforming and expected to have satisfying and smooth gameplay. Everything else is good though. What do you want me to say? Obviously, it looks good, you can SEE it. That's what prompts smooth and satisfying gameplay-- It's the art style.
