PEAKKKK TS PEAKKKK HAHA, honestly I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading, like I unironically enjoyed it. Like, I get the point is that it's a humorous jab at romantic stories, specifically isekai stuff that the title says, and it goes all the way with its intended theme? Story? Style? Like, I know the author mentions insecurities that the writing is not compared to other literary works of the jam, but I think different styles like this can be done well and still find enjoyment and meaning in its content; for example, in one of the endings, the sudden shift to shakespherean(?) writing after knowing the MC was going to school in 4 days was hilarious in due to the contrast with the rest of the writing. Like, I would enjoy a format like this if it was completed, I would maybe want to know more about the actor characters outside of their play.
But being serious for a second, there's not really a difference if this were a play or the actual Anubis story, like it's humorous. Sorry to compare, but using Curtains Call, a submission for May Wolf 2025, as an example, it also has a play as 2 sides of the story: one is about the actors, and the other is about the story itself. And yes, the writing and dialogue speak as if it's supposed to be via chat, but it leaned into that writing style, and I kind of didn't mind at all. But thinking meta-narratively, it would be something like rushing to make a VN in a short amount of time.
Also, the implementation of the theme wasn't used too much. Like it was mostly set dressing for the characters. I did like what there was art-wise. Though that preferences menu needs some adjustments, probably, but holy, working starting the 21st, that's very difficult for what you would be able to make in a short amount of time. Not enough time to fix things like "but i just here i dont have any other". Also the ending CGs were having "Image not found" errors for me when choosing the sexy outfit or the lazy outfit.
Also smh, it has been FIVE BOOKS/MOVIES/VISUAL NOVELS, AND IT TOOK THAT LONG FOR THEM TO FINALLY TELL THEIR FEELINGS AND KISS OMG.
