Update: the author is not dead but clearly doesn't care about or wants anything to do with this project. I was able to find this via his deviant art page which linked to his Pinterest. His Pinterest has been active which is a bit hard for a dead guy. So, if you (a.) thought he was dead: he isn't. (b.) thought he was going to come back: he isn't. I too wish he would come back but at this point he's not going to.
