Hey, I really love your plugins and got some of them in the past - they're so easy to use and I appreciate the work you put into making them and your tutorials, you're doing some crazy work here!

Just a quick question! I know that you're not using RPG Maker's turn-based combat (at least as far as I know, I vaguely remember that you wrote about it in the past ahah) and I can't tell from the description - can this plugin be used to edit the turn-based combat UI or the ingame menu, or is it mostly for "overworld" HP visualisation, overworld quickslots etc.?

If not, it feels like 90% of the RPG Maker communities constantly complains about the hard-coded turn-based UI and how hard it is to make the ingame menus (character screen, inventory, equipment screen etc.) visually pleasing. Just a lil wink in case you ever wanna get there, it's something that doesn't seem to exist yet and I'm sure people would pay a lot for that. :3

Developer

Hi!

This plugin works the same way as my other plugins, which means it doesn’t support turn-based combat. My goal has always been to transform RPG Maker into an engine that encourages creativity and allows developers to explore different types of gameplay, rather than being tied to traditional turn-based systems. That’s why I focus on improving areas that often don’t get enough attention, the On-Map experience.

If you’ve seen my game projects, each one introduces a unique mechanic, from Idle Tower Defense to Zelda-style Hack-and-Slash. Sure, a turn-based plugin might sell well, haha,  but I can’t work on something that isn’t my passion or aligned with my vision.

Hendrix HUD Designer is perfect for developers who want to make use of its features in non–turn-based projects. Gauges, hotbars, and other elements can be applied to farming games, simulators, real-time action, and anything that you can think of, as long as it's not turn-based.
