Great demo and I see you've made a lot of progress already since your dev log. The overall design feels solid. You've got a satisfying incremental loop going.
As someone who plays a lot of incremental games (and is working on one right now) I had some design feedback. Fully subjective, but I'll try to explain my reasoning.
1. Secondary resources feel a bit disconnected from the fantasy. The driftwood is good. It's clear to me how that ties into progression, since you're building a boat to get to a new island. But the berries are completely disconnected from everything else. It was a fun discovery moment when I arrived at island 2 and could suddenly get a lot of money instantly--in fact I thought it was a one-time catchup mechanic because I left island 1 "early"--but then they respawned and I found myself not really caring once I could get more money fishing.
My personal suggestion is to keep everything to fishing. Introduce new "trash" players can fish up for different purposes that feed into secondary systems.
2. I also don't think the drones fit the fantasy. I get the intent of wanting something that can seek out fish schools and bring them to the barrel, but I think you should bring back the fishermen.
3. I think the wall was a fun and unique addition! You should use it as part of your prestige system, if you're going to have one.
4. I agree with another player that the upgrades could be more surprising. Right now, you aren't introducing something unexpected other than the drones, I believe. I think one of the things that makes A Game About Feeding a Black Hole so successful is that it has these foundational upgrades that introduce new features that are a nice surprise for the player, then it fills in the space around those with more expected upgrades.
5. You've got some good elements of discovery and surprise in there already. I love that you don't explain the driftwood. I saw the boat first and wondered where I could get wood, then I saw some had spawned. That felt awesome. Catching the turtle and having it as a little island friend was also great. Add more stuff like that, and integrate it into the other gameplay loops and progression systems!
