Just got back into interactive fictions after finally being temporarily freed from college and reading all the new content for this demo really brought back my love for these types of games. Last time I checked this out, I think the demo ended around Osaron's banquet, so there was a lot of happy catching up to do. I played through every single route and absolutely fell in love with each character. Osaron and Ashmedai were my personal faves. I'm amazed at how engaging you made each of their narratives, affording nuance to each of their characters (I was surprised at first that only Osaron and Vezriel allows your character to peer into their past, but it makes sense when thinking further about their personalities).
I love all the lore and world building that was introduced in the story so far as well. The Oracle's backstory? The flashbacks only made me want to learn even more—in a good way. The idea of madness and the mystery of what causes it. The political intrigue that exists in the background even as your character is focused on fending off the end of the world.
