i have a idea for your game!

 i wanted the hunting to be more wcue-ish so i thought something: what if in the start of the game, our mentor learns us how to hunt!

when you finish talking with your mentor, you get teleported to the hunting area, but it seems more dinamic and you can move left, right, stop, and walking foward, you see a faint with low opacity line, but its not straight, its curved, very random, and you have to follow the line, the line is the preys scent, when you get to the border of the camera you get teleported to another area, very similar to the map, just adjusted, but when you go foward and get very close to the edge of the floor, you get to a diferent area, the further you go, more trees. when you encounter your prey, you need to stop, click the prey, and a bar appears, you need to click on the green line on the bar by clicking space (if ur in pc), on mobile you need to click a button under the bar. (and also your mentors dialogue is on the corner, telling basic things like tracking scent, stopping when you see your prey) but also theres some tricks on the scent, the scent may be very low opacity that you cant see, or another path of scent that, if you follow it, you see that the prey is not there. The video may explain a bit better on my suggestion. 

Wooooow, It really takes into account the immersion of the player.  I love the way there's an added visual to your explanation too, it's cute! This content, where people explain their ideas vividly in illustration, means a lot to me. I wish there was a hub for people to bounce ideas off of each other, so audiences could share & see more original game mechanics like this. Especially with all this new AI-translating tech everywhere, speaking internationally could be a breeze. I'm so inspired. New people with new ideas everywhere. BRILLIANT, keep creating!
