I'm disappointed that you made the dashing mechanic more limited since the previous demo. It doesn't make the game any worse to play casually so I see no reason for this change. This won't be as fun a game to speedrun...

Also, I had suggested a button to skip the cutscenes in the pause menu, as again, it would make the game more fun to run, and the speedrunning community is undoubtably an important part of keeping games alive and played.

Hello Ray !

Thank you very much for your feedback. However, the game does not feature a dash, it only has a roll mechanic, just like the original version released in 2021.

But some parts of the game are well-suited for speedrunning!

Thank you for your interest in our games.

Yes, that's what I meant by "dash", I meant the roll mechanic. You could do cool and interesting tricks in the 2024 demo of DX that have since been removed. It didn't make the game worse to play casually, so could you please reconsider this removal?

Yes, but could you specify what you were able to do before that is no longer possible in the latest version?

We haven't intentionally removed anything related to the roll mechanism.

Thank you for your feedback!

Here's a GIF I made two years ago when it first came out since I don't have the old demo anymore. I was already prepping for a speedrun of it. If I recall correctly, you roll then jump out of it by slashing, gaining speed, which wouldn't be an issue casually. And now, you can't slash until the end of the roll animation, making it less fluid and way slower, which isn't fun.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! We just brought this feature back.

Have a great day, and thanks again for your support!

Thanks a lot! I ran the original Genesis game and I know for sure that this feature will undoubtedly make it way more fun to run ^^

I have one more suggestion that I had made back when the first demo came out: would it be possible to add a "Skip Cutscene" button during a cutscene to skip it entirely? If you've already played the game or are doing a speedrun of it, it'd be a nice feature, especially since the current demo is lacking the ability to speed up the dialogues like you could in the original Genesis version.
