I'm stuck on finding a black belt, and getting strength to get to Lavaridge. I opened up the tunnel in Verdanturf, and Whitney won't battle me. I also have no idea how to get a bike if its in the game yet.
same here, but if it helps anyone, the machops near lava ridge HAVE strength in their move pool, but even though I caught one and have it in my party and have beaten all the gyms and done all the storyline quests up to that point... I still cannot move that fucking rock
I wish the game would either just make rock smash and strength hms given as soon as you beat the gym, so you don't have to deal with this. Or make the tms purchasable at a shop after getting the badge, or make them always purchasable at a shop but only functional outside of battle after beating the specific gym, like the voidkip in the house would be the perfect place for doing that.
OKAY so the rock is an unintentional huge red herring, before you progress in the story, you try to go to lavaridge, you're blocked by the rock, and you're like "oh I'll unlock this area once I learn strength" but you don't actually unlock strength for a while and you need to get into the town NOW soooo.
So actually, upon doing all of the story stuff, like miles away on the upper left part of the map, you gotta go back to that area in route 112 just south of the fiery path cave, and those two guards that were inexplicably blocking the path to the building next to it will be gone, and what they were blocking is actually a tram you can use to skip right over the rock and straight into lavaridge town
