I didn't know I could walk over the rocks inside the cave. The visuals of the rocks combined with the text popping up when you reach them made me assume it was a dead end, looking over the other comments, I think a lot of people got stuck here. I saw what looked like a village in your screenshots though, and I became determined to find it!
Making an RPG is a really ambitious goal but it seems like you have a good foundation for one. It was a fun space to explore, and I liked all the flavor text scattered around on interactable objects.
I like the effect of the text slowly appearing combined with the sound effect, it adds a lot of charm and character. It would be nice if they could be optionally skipped for those situations where you accidentally examine the same things twice.
I enjoyed my time with it, I love old school RPGs, so it was very nostalgic. Great job! :)
