Very clever interpretation of the theme. I really liked how you implemented the metroidvania elements into the game and connected them to the theme itself. Each body part giving you a new ability was a really smart idea, and the head was honestly my favorite ability in the game.

My biggest issue was with the precision of the head movement, especially before gaining the jump ability. Predicting where the detached head would land sometimes felt more like luck than skill, for example when trying to move the head onto an elevated edge that the body itself couldn't reach. Things definitely improved after unlocking the jump ability, but I still think it could use a bit more tweaking. I also felt that the exploration was a bit limited. In most metroidvanias, it usually feels like you can progress through different routes and unlock abilities in different orders, but here the progression felt a bit linear. I also don't think the music matched the visuals very well.

That said, I still really enjoyed the game. The map design was pretty good, I liked the little hidden collectibles, and the overall concept was genuinely fun and creative. The different abilities were also really fun and made progression feel rewarding. Great work, and keep it up!

I agree. I debated on removing the small tunnel before the tall ladder, because it's awkward and doesn't translate as well on keyboard as it did on controller. I ended up keeping it due to time constraints which is also why the game is more linear than I originally intended. I am glad you enjoyed the game though and thank you for your honest review.
