this looks *extremely* similar to Leaf Blower Revolution on steam. was that game an inspiration for this one?

Hey sketchyswirl!

Yes, I adore ILBR too. In fact I call it out as an inspiration (and link to ILBR's Steam) on the TRASH HERO's main page:

I emailled Humble North to thank them for their game--it got me through some very long nights when my daughters were born!

Where TRASH HERO differs is that we are cleaning up Earth; long after mankind left the planet in a right ol' state.

To do that - yes there are collection mechanics similar to ILBR - but there will also be incineration, prestige/rebirth and finally 2D top-down factory mechanics because I want to code conveyor belts.

The idea will be to collect, burn and use the A$H byproduct to create materials for geoengineering.

The rough rpadmap  is:

1. Collection (this prototype)

2. Incineration (idle generation)

3. Prestige / Rebirth

4. Factory / Production lines

5. Finally, clean Earth (completion)

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for playing my rubbish game!

❤️
