I love the mood of the game, very cute!
As for the gameplay, the inspiration is very clear and I think you can't go wrong with such a classic. I think it's an interesting take to shift the reference point like that (I mean having the static point in the middle rather than the moving head of the snake). I just wish you'd have time to either expand a bit on the mechanics or refine the level design as it is too short and simple as it is.
One key thing for me is I felt like there was a bit of input lag and it felt not that smooth moving the tongue around at first but once my brain adjusted for it it then felt too easy to just go where I wanted (which the og game counteracts by increasing the speed as you go and I get that you couldn't do this on such a short game)
