Is rapid burst jump jet system currently broken or do I just not udnerstand how to use it?

Heyhey ppl.


I just updated from 0.6.somethingorother (I can dig it out of my recycle bin if exact patch is important) to 0.7.4

Loaded up a build I had previously that would use RBJJS to get somewhere high up on turn 1. Unless I'm misunderstanding something I don't think jump jets are currently working at all!

If I am misunderstanding something i'd love to know what Im' doing wrong. I swear it just happened when you boosted on 0.6.x (fololwed by an afterburners prompt if you had ace2).

So yeah if this is a bug then now you know, and if it's not I would love it if someone explained to me what I'm doing wrong with jump jets :D

Hello! Just did a quick check, it looks like RBJJ is working to me. There’s a separate action icon for using them as oppose to a normal boost:

As for Ace 2, iirc I temporarily skipped setting up the interaction between it and the jumpjets because it raises some thorny user-interaction questions about when to roll for the heat & ask for the movement target, but it’s on the to-do list to figure out.

Oh my fuck I am such a moron.

I think I remembered previous versions of the game having it be bundled into boost and thus did not look as hard as I should have. I swear I scanned every button though! (i clearly did not, I am just incompetant XD )

If it was never bundled into boost then I was just confusing it with some other TBS game...
