I was worried this might confuse folks! You always roll a d6, and if you have any skill dice you roll them as well. So a d6 skill means you're rolling 2d6 on the check.
That said, the mechanics here are more of a jumping off point for engaging with the game's strange vibes. I've edited and tested them, but they're still at least a little ramshackle.
