To answer you, I definitely plan to keep developing it ;)!

Right now, I’m finishing up laying down a solid foundation, and by the end of the year I’ll be focusing more on one story than the others (though I do want to let players have their say through voting).

I completely agree with your analysis, I think that with a complete story, people will better understand the game mechanics and their possibilities.

Thank you! I also have a question. I am playing the game on the browser, and have not downloaded it. Will my save file be lost if there is an update? How can I save it?

In the browser version, the game is saved in your browser data (I’m not sure exactly whether that’s in cookies or somewhere else).
You won’t lose your save data during an update, but you might lose it if you clear your browser cache.

The advantage of downloading the game is that your save file is stored locally, so it won’t be affected by clearing your browser cache.
The downside is that you have to copy the folder from one version of the game to another with every update. I’ve included an explanatory PDF on this topic when you download the game.
