NeonStrip – 3D Adult Dating Sim (In Development)

Hi everyone 👋

I’m currently developing NeonStrip, a 3D adult dating/life-sim set in a neon-soaked coastal city, inspired by nightlife culture, freedom, and consequences.

This devlog will be used to share teasers, small updates, experiments, and progress as the game evolves. The goal here isn’t to advertise a finished product, but to show how NeonStrip is being built over time — systems, visuals, ideas, and sometimes things that break along the way.

🌆 What is NeonStrip?

NeonStrip is a sandbox-style adult dating sim where you explore an open city, meet NPCs with distinct personalities, and build (or ruin) relationships through dialogue, choices, and actions.

Key pillars of the game:

  • Open-world exploration (day & night cycle)

  • Relationship-driven gameplay

  • NPC attraction, mood, and memory systems

  • Dialogue that reacts to how you play, not just what you click

  • A strong neon / nightlife aesthetic

The focus is on player agency — how you approach characters, how consistently you treat them, and how your behavior shapes future interactions.


🛠 Current Development Focus

Right now, development is centered around:

  • Improving NPC interaction flow

  • Polishing dialogue, pacing, and reactions

  • Performance and stability improvements

  • Expanding relationship mechanics and NPC behavior

This is an ongoing project, and many systems are being refined iteratively.

I’ll be posting:

  • Small gameplay updates

  • System breakdowns (when interesting)

NeonStrip – Dev Update (0.30.0a Progress)

This month has been focused on expanding core systems and laying foundations for larger gameplay loops coming soon.

Version 0.30.0a introduces several major structural additions — some of which are partially implemented and still evolving.

🏬 Shop System (Foundation Phase)

Shops have been added across the world.

They are currently partially implemented and not fully usable yet.
This update lays the groundwork for:

  • Item purchasing

  • In-world shop interactions

  • Future economy expansion

  • Integration with romance & gift systems

Expect continued improvements in upcoming builds.

👗 Wardrobe System (In-Game Customization)

You can now customize clothing while in-game.

This system will expand with:

  • More outfit slots

  • Additional clothing types

  • Better UI flow

  • Integration with shop purchases

⚧ New Trans-Female Option (Character Creator)

A new gender option has been added to the Character Creator.

⚠️ Important: This feature is not fully complete yet and may not function as expected in all systems.

Further refinement and animation support will continue in the next builds.

🎥 Romance System Improvements

  • Added FPS Cinemachine camera for intercourse scenes

  • Expanded scene flow logic

  • Continued development of new positions and interactions

More content for the adult romance system is currently in development.

🌆 Performance & World Improvements

  • Implemented subscenes for better performance and streaming

  • Replaced volumetric clouds with layered clouds (performance boost)

  • Tweaked ambient occlusion

  • Improved camera focus targets in Character Creator

  • Post-processing refinements

The world should feel smoother overall, especially in larger areas.

What’s Next?

The next updates will focus on:

  • Completing the shop system

  • Expanding romance content & positions

  • Refining the trans-female implementation

  • Expanding character customization

  • Deepening world interactivity

This build represents structural progress — the systems are being assembled for something bigger.

NeonStrip – Dev Update (0.33.0a Progress)

Development on Version 0.33.0a has been focused heavily on expanding world interaction, improving NPC systems, and continuing the long-term foundation work for Moon City.

A large part of this update is centered around making the game world feel more dynamic and immersive instead of static.

🌴 Map Expansion & Exploration

Work continues on extending the island map to improve exploration and driving freedom.

New roads, environmental areas, and coastal routes are being added to make the world feel larger and more connected. The goal is to make driving around Moon City feel more open and immersive.

🧠 NPC Social Systems

One of the biggest foundations currently being developed is the new Social Group System.

NPCs are beginning to: • Socialize together • Chat with each other dynamically • React in groups • Create more believable ambient world behavior

This system is still evolving, but it is a major step toward making the city feel alive.

👥 NPC Follow Mechanic

The NPC Follow System is now fully functional.

Players can now: • Ask NPCs to follow them • Stop followers through dialogue/actions • Use interaction-based commands with NPCs

This lays the groundwork for deeper companion and relationship mechanics in future updates.

🎮 Interaction Improvements

A new scrollable interaction action menu has been added.

Instead of simply displaying “Interact,” the UI now shows direct actions and interaction options more cleanly and responsively.

Additional interaction and dialogue improvements are also being worked on.

✨ Character Creator Improvements

The Character Creator continues to receive updates and refinements.

Current work includes: • Facial morph customization • UI improvements • Expanded customization options • Ongoing wardrobe support improvements

The goal is to continue pushing player customization much further.

🧠 AI Dialogue Improvements

A new smaller and smarter AI dialogue model has been integrated.

This new model aims to: • Improve NPC response quality • Improve consistency in conversations • Reduce performance overhead • Create more natural interactions

🚧 Overall Development Focus

Current development priorities include: • NPC immersion systems • Social AI behavior • Exploration & map expansion • Character customization • Interaction systems • Performance & stability improvements

Moon City continues to evolve with every update.
