Why is the android download a .rar file? that's really awkward to deal with on mobile, just drop the apk file directly

I just stop trying to get the mobile version. Kept saying files corrupt or empty. I tried doing what guide says but nothing go right
We would like that, but Android itself doesn't let us, the game is so big that restrictions of APK just let us like 4 gb or a little less, that's why a file that contains all the images, animations, etc is required apart from the apk file
Dumb question to ask but could you make the apk and rar separate download ? Also make the rar unzip?
