What was the reason for the sudden game engine change though?

I was hesitant at first by RPGMaker’s limitations and lack of versatility. Then I took the step to change after how “bumpy” it feels to work on this, feels messy and all so I’d rather spend my time learning godot and make games in it instead.
Also the fact that I have to rely on plugins doesn’t feel as good for me.
