I'm posting this just in case anyone also has this issue, and hopefully this helps someone.
I had an issue when launching the game. I would launch it and it would get stuck on the "Now Loading" black screen at the very start, even before the main menu.
(Apparently it was looking for the assets, but couldn't find them?)
I tried a few things, but the first/only thing that fixed it was moving it to a different folder.
At least that's what worked for me, and in my case, I just moved it to the desktop.
I had the game folder inside of another folder with an odd/abnormal letter in its name, so maybe that was the problem.
