I like the retro style! I've only missed twice and stacked so much slow, that all enemies were basically sitting ducks; several times there weren't even any of them on the field (I'm not counting those who spawned outside the fence, lol). Had to quit at 595 points, the game was getting laggy because of the Horde of the Outcasts. Great game!
