very enjoyable demo! the only issue i had was that the surround sound turns down the sound to 0 in the further away ear, which is not how it works in reality, and for me at least caused some discomfort.

That is in fact not how it's supposed to go, I am unfamiliar with this behavior, do you mind sharing what platform you played it on ?
