Just played my first game YEARS after claiming a community copy. I'd love to have the chance to buy a physical book now. I'll have to chance it with some of the author's newer stuff. The game's setting-creation stage was fun, even if it ran a bit long. I'd love to try it a couple more times to see if playing with more experienced role-players, or all-English-native players, speeds up the process.
By chance, we had a school teacher attend the open role-play event where I facilitated this. They pointed her to my table and she explained to us more regular geeks that she was here doing research for her kids. I'm glad I brought this and not a more combat-heavy game especially if this helped to illustrate the possibilities in the gaming space. Huge hit of a game in regards to proof-of-concept and role-play incentivizing.
The writing, too, is incredible. The ambience? Inspired. Just as a half-done one-shot, the station we made from madlibs prompts felt more real and important than settings I've worked on for days.
