Thank you for your report! If you see a white screen while the debug menu is visible, it's likely because you've accessed an unimplemented feature or skipped a necessary game flag via the menu. For now, please enjoy the game through the standard "Start Work" flow.
I have the same issue, when it's being played from an internet browser through itch.io the game doesn't function on Mozilla Firefox, it does function on Google Chrome.
