where is the good endings?

It might be a marketing strategy. When you get your good ending(s), will you wait arround for months to get your bad ending too, just to see it? Getting the bad endings (which give weight to choices) out of the way first, then create the good endings for that satisfaction of the conclusions. Ending the project on a high note, rather than a bitter one.
