How are Tarot cards used here? Most often what games do when using Tarot cards is to use them as a randomizer (for example His Majesty). Is that what is done here? Or has more been done to engage with the symbolism and meaning of the cards themselves?

It’s both here: they’re used as a randomizer, but where I could, I incorporated symbolism seamlessly. For example in the Lifepath system, each minor arcana card adds years to your life (number randomizer) and a major event that relates to that card’s classical symbolic meaning. The Magick system and Oracles also incorporated card meanings. Players and Referees are also encouraged to use the card meanings for more inspiration or context during play!
