That’s not a valid argument, since that’s the most common goal, and sorry, but artists make quite a bit of money—considering their prices all start at $100, plus Patreon brings in a fair amount of money too—and in two years, he hasn’t managed to do anything for the novel? A visual novel isn’t that hard to develop, and yeah, he could have charged $30 instead of a measly $5 for the demo—if $30 isn’t enough for him. So far, everyone on Itch.io has just been taken for a ride.
