That's a valid concern. I would suggest erring on the side of caution re: the rules and then going back to the project after voting and adding what you need to be there. That said, I don't think there's anything against the spirit of the rules to include the credits in the main page text, it's just that you will be asked for them in submission and I don't want people to do double work if they feel they need to write it all twice.
