I think it was because the player got a concussion and was a little... Out of it in that moment. Ragatha was comforting the player and making sure she/he was okay like a mother would, and that's probably where the confusion came from. It was probably there to foreshadow the conversation she'd have about her mom later on too because she had a bit of a reaction to those words.
