I was literally despairing where the ended ended off,J wanted more but gosh, it was SUCH a sweet moment. Honestly, going into it, I had my eyes set on Vicente, but then I got charmed by Corinne when she gave us that letter of her being accomodating for MC <333 it was so sweet of her, (hehe, glad that I could do another route for her, but I love her so much, she's so sweet🥹)
Tellus was also so cute, the reunion at first didn't ended well, but I'm glad he started to slowly develop into a more.. Less asshole person, and I LOVE his reaction on the small detail of naming MC's pet Tellus lol XD (I'm wondering if I can name the fox other RO's too, I'll go try)
I went with Vicente's route, and gosh darn, he's fucking hot. I loved every part they smiled, and when he got jealous when I hugged Bayram XD I literally screen shotted it when I saw it during the rebellion. Also, I noticed how in chapter five, they said 'my Xiphos' instead of 'like a xiphos', I dunno if it's intentional but I was GIGGLING HARD— I also love the fact that he seems confused with their own feelings, he's just honestly so adorable I luv them so much <333 Corinne though is my top favorite(although I only feel for her platonically, she is still lovely to romance <33)
ALSO WHEN HE DREW THE MC?? HOLY THAT WAS SO CUTEEEEE!! (It was also so well written, I was able to visualize it, or maybe that was just me being delulu and Biased XD) I also love that one scene where Vicente teased Evelyn too about Nikolaos XD and I was also curious about that one scene where on the way to the secret infiltrating mission, where Tellus was kinda bit rude, and Vicente didn't sign it, I felt like there was something there, I can't really explain it, but it seemed like.. They were lowkey protective of MC?? Like he didn't want MC to hear about the cruel stuff they said that was kind of the Regis to do(I would love more of Jealous Vincente, and protective Vicente, I will give my soul to you if I must—jk) (also, why do I feel like either the Regis killed Vincente's mother, or it was Vicente that killed his mother, I dunno honestly..)
Also, that one scene where MC mediated, hidden, the line 'Vicente and Corinne had a thoughtful expression on their faces' it seemed like they're starting to suspect MC's identity as Iredicci, or maybe that was just me looking too much on to it. Then again, I'm also really curious their reactions would be on MC's identity, how it would affect stuff1, and how.. Ahem, We practically heard everything Vicente said (it would lowkey be funny to see Vicente's reactions abt it lol XD)
Calliope was really sweet, making that one invention for Evelyn's mother, she's SUCH a lovely, sweet kid, her father really raised her right, and gods, I saw her as like, my little sister🥹
Brayham is charming, but seems to be very responsible, especially when it comes to his Nation, and the way he deflects stuff reminds me of Venti(from Genshin Impact), I honestly didn't expect him to he sorta philosophical, and poetic, maybe melancholic, I'm not entirely sure. And I also love his willingness to learn sign language, it was genuinely so sweet for him🥹
(I lowkey wish there was a poly between Brayham and Vicente option honestly, I love them both, but I'm probably most likely being biased, ahem.. Ahem..)
as you can probably tell, I also love Corinne, I thought she'd be.. A bit brasive and stuff, but she was genuinely such a nice character, she had been pretty nice to my character, and very considerate, I love that fact about her, and I kinda wished I had the option to give her just as long and open written messages as she did to me, without romancing her.
I love MC's adopted family too! I initially didn't like Evelyn cuz of her approach, but damn did I grow to be very much love her, honestly, Evelyn surprised me a lot, the family did. I really didn't expect them to go so far for MC(such as y'know.. Taking care of Stavros, and I loved the option of the apathy thing in killing Stavros, there's really not a lot for you know..someone willing to kill for u, dispose of it, and even have the MC to not feel bad abt it. Don't get me wrong, I understand Stavros just lost his family from the army, but that doesn't really give him an excuse to be an asshole abt it), I also felt bad for her a lot, she was kept in the dark at times, and she had to leave her old life behind.
Evelyn's character was SO nice to have, she is lively to be around, but knows the things she has to do to protect those she hold there(like, not hesitating to shoot Stavros,) there's really not many IF's that does that, if I remember it right. Also, teasing and being a wingman to her and the simp Nikolaos was just so fun choices hehehe <33
Evelyn's mother and father, I love them too, the same for Evelyn, I really didn't expect them to go so far for the MC, it made me tear up and feel all warm, because they were so patient with MC, and helped them a lot. I was saddened to see Thaleia hurt, and even lost a part of her vision, and I'm so glad she would be able to you know, improve a lot through Calliope's inventions. I also quickly warmed up to Jonah, he really is like a big bear, I felt comfortable and safe around him. Also, at the end of chapter five, it was SUCH A SWEET MOMENT LIKE AHHAHHHHHHH I can't handle the sweetness, definitely one of my favorite scenes in Catata.
I'm looking forward to the day MC opens up to them about their own secret to others, and also curious.. On what happens if I 100% my mastery on Cord is.. Hehehe..
Aeleus, the Iredacci elder was SOOO SWEETTTT I love them so much, pls, I really want to have a chance to learn from them, sadly I love my attunement with air too much to part with it(I also felt happy when he complimented MC about their Cordis, hehe.. )
Nikaolos is really, really DOWN BAD like—'I'm defying my commander down bad cuz I thought my crush was gonna join the infiltration', he is so sweet honestly, and I kinda feel a bit bad? Evelyn doesn't really seem to.. Like him romantically, I'm not sure, maybe that was just being me. (Speaking of which, I love that one comment Evelyn made when Brayham was teasing Vicente about how 'they act like children, and you could have chosen better, and how Vicente fascinated you so much', that was such a fun scene to read over and over
Haha.. I think I may have rambled too much, overall, I love the game, I think out of your work, this one would be my favorite, I read Viatica, it's good! Don't get me wrong, I first romanced Lion, and damn.. He got me charmed lowkey, and.. Tragedy really isn't my thing when I don't feel like making myself cry :D
it didn't really click to me as much as Catata did(mostly because I'm a sucker for IF's that start as you being a child, and growing up ahem..ahen, forgive my bias ahem..)
Anyway, I'm looking forward for more! I am so excited for the next part :3
