Agree :) To be fair, most of these AVNs aren't really "games" as they are visual novels to begin with :) Many which have "choices" mostly have pseudo-choices which only have minor influence on the story. Having many different outcomes would just multiply the work and reduce the length of the story.

I'm also here mostly for the stories. What's great about Cosy Cafe is, that it's one of the most believable story in the AVN pool (besides the fact that all girls are ok with the whole polyamory thing. Though the founding family setting is actually a great excuse ^^).

I recently finally gave Eternum a shot after many people praising it. It of course depends on your preferences, but Eternum is, hands down, one of the best stories out there. Top graphics, brilliant and diverse character design (visual and personality) and an incredible soundtrack. For Eternum I changed the meaning of AVN to "Audio Visul Novel". It has 250+ music tracks (you can find a playlist on YT by user "dead" ( @DeadBrokenMind ). I'm always quite sceptical when people recommend things, those deserve their praise ^^. Story wise it touches almost every genre. It could be summarized by Ready Player One, Matrix, Ocean's 11 and Pirates of the Caribean :P Though that doesn't even capture it all.

been playing a bunch of these lately (surprising amount are big on spankings) another one with an intriguing story with top tier humor is That New Teacher, it's a bit heavy on the dominance/corruption content, but a lot of the characters are super cute and again, the humor.  ~<3

Quite a lot of adult games on this page have very unlikable main characters, complete idiots who couldn’t figure out how to boil a cup of water. Or LIs have paper thin characters that only exist while they are on screen. Other games use the “harem” tag to mean cheating where none of the LIs know about each other. Or the “bdsm” tag that often means the MC is an asshole who doesn’t understand consent.

Thankfully none of these criticisms apply here!

We just have a decent guy as protagonist who’s emotionally intelligent and cares about the girls. Consent is very clearly communicated, all the girls know about each other and they all feel like different individuals with their own lives. So we get a wholesome romantic story with great character moments.

oh for sure, and consent is very key in relationships like these.  sigh, I'm gonna have to brows some games to tide me over while I wait for updates on the ones I like.  ~<3

Yes :) The prime example when it comes to spanking is probably "The Headmaster" which has it's punishment system in focus. Here the main character is also quite intelligent. The actual psychology of his explanations almost makes sense which is the reason I would not recommend this to too naive / young "players". It actually has a couple of quite emotional moments. Though not that many. Besides Cosy Cafe it's also one of the AVN I do support :)

Though be warned, many events are bound to certain days and there are a couple of events that require a certain order of actions that are not that obvious / easy to miss and you can get stuck. Though it has a great built-in "event archieve"

ps: In regards to That New Teacher, I think the concept of the "special guests" it brilliant :) Seeing characters from other AVNs in the story as a hommage and kinda advertisement is brilliant. Because of that I tried Stormside which also has a crazy story (though unfortunately it's abandoned)

playing Cosy Caffee is nice, also without many choices. The story is really good. I did play Eternum in the past, but did not contiue. it was great when it came out, but now there are many other really great and GOAT games. Currently I am playing “the interim Domain” by ils. That game with the stories is really getting under your skin. playing it right you can get 17 differnet endings. Another big plus is that it is complete.
