I been following your work on this for a really long time, years in fact honestly. I didn't mind the long updates because I enjoyed playing the game as it slowly updated I loved the characters and even though the Story was at times just...so anime with how everything just kept falling into place for the MC
it was still nice.
I was seeing everyone be so..negative with the recent changes and I felt that this was as good of as time to finally give it a try again as you are finally back with updates on Itcho.
And I will say in the first 15 minutes of playing.
You're comment and promise of "This is the exact same game as before. Same story, same characters, same plot beats, same everything."...
I can't help but feel how false that statement is.
Although yes you can say that the Game is "similar" to what the original was.
The Entire Intro is extremely foreign to me especially including the fact that major story beats like the fey/ numians being "legend" and "rare to see" being something so..common now that the intro has a fish girl swimming you to shore in the literal first 3 minutes. To where the common joe is whispering and talking about "them"
And the institute instead of being this massive "behind the scenes puppteers of everything" to basically very openingly running everything...like the institute of Fallout 4. It's extremely jarring to say the least.
As for the character updates.... It takes some getting used to, after all certain characters had REALLY good appeal and I will admit straight off the back that the majority of them are good glow ups. They are given proper "updated" looks and they look really good! But while the side characters and "Numian" characters got major glow ups.
The rest of the Main cast, I.e Jessica, Emma, Pixie and from what I seen the 2 Institute Operatives (I forgot their name it's been too long but i saw them at least the blond one on the TV) got... messed with.
Now I feel like give me some time I could come to enjoy Pixie's more "gothic" vibe but that doesn't fit her character especially with how friendly and more specifically how active she is, more so down the road. It would be more fitting if she was more calm and less responsive like Morgana but Pixie is..a pixie, a hyper active loud mouth that is bratty to those she don't likes but extremely lovey dovey to those she likes. Jessica went from a Woman who has major guilt and feels extreme lost about what she did to her best friend and tries her damn best to not get her best friend's son involved in anything but is still very much loyal to the Institute.

And Emma...is the one who was hit the most in my opinion.
Emma is someone who is cheery yet extremely shy with low self-esteem. But she still wants to dress and be cute and be considered a simple human girl despite her Fey like body and abilities. To a very shy blue emo goth? It just. Idk it just doesn't suit her at all and it's going to take a LOT of convincing to get back into it.
I will say though that the most major thing that really is affecting me is that well.
I had been following you for this long and supporting you here and there in the different sites you used here and there to keep up with your stuff. And I do look forward to your work and I want to see this continue but I can't help but feel that If I have to wait again getting fed pretty much the same updates that I already been through years and months ago. As long as you don't out right try to delete and replace the OG i think i'll be fine with it for now.
