Im not praising anything, and by your logic the dev should be in jail for putting a SKIPPABLE scene in his game. Nobody forced him to watch it happen.
Yeah it's a part of the story so it should be implemented. Skipping is useful too in some other scene, and its already explained at the starting of the game that it might affect you emotionally.
