How do you eat the Flinstones vitamins.

The item you get from the penultimate level. It said that if you eat a few of the gummies you get a lot of defense. I just wanna know how to eat them.
There are three Flintstones Vitamins items in the game (in the first level, in the Planet Core, and in the level you found it in). They just passively reduce damage by 1, nothing special.
