I see what you mean, but it's good Idea that we give them then construction criticism rather than just outright hating them, besides it's almost a year since they have to updated this game also, something might have happened to the developer during that time so we have no clue.
Besides, It's probably a new team with maybe a old programmer or director there to support them on developing the somewhat abandoned project, that's what I'm guessing.

It’s still the solo dev, TheArcadean, working on this project.
You can always join the discord to be more updated with the game’s progress.
Dev is also active in the discord server occasionally and around release times.
