You put a lot of effort into the art side of the game. I am very impressed by both quantity and quality of the art you produced for an 8 day game jam.

Clothing damage is always a fun mechanic. But the combat system could need some gameplay depth. It seems to be completely based on luck. A “Talk” button that never has a narrative payoff and a “Defend” button that’s always a mistake to click (or so it seems to me) seem rather pointless.

Yes the defend mechanic is kind of pointless at the moment, it does some damage mitigation, but not enough, and the talk is pretty much a do nothing and go to next turn. Hopefully we will improve it on the next versions!
