You’re a little more leniant than I am, I think – I’d give the Shell a soul for sure, but I suspect the Faberge is truly artificial (depending, of course, on player concept). The more they seem like a human, the more they smack of Mi-Go or Nyarlathotep’s involvement in things but still mostly soulless.
But that’s just me… :)
