Question: What does this do for fields that have been joined? Does it outline the existing field, with updated and real-time boundaries, or does this work off the original field shapes?

Good morning and thank you for the question. If you generate field outlines, it would generate field outlines based on the field shapes. They will not be connected to the network so if you have some feels that you made yourself, it will not interrupt but you will have to fill out lines possibly. That makes sense.
