The same Steam moderator - Mary also rejected our Barbarian Fall fighting last month, but with the kind of wording that might not go over well with Visa or Mastercard...

What the hell am I—an adult game developer—supposed to think about what "confused" moderators, bankers or feminists will like?

We’re hard working to make awesome games that gamers enjoy!

That name is familiar... could be the same one to nuke another adult game that WAS on Steam for a few months before suddenly it got removed.  At this rate the only way adult games are going to exist and be available is with an independent site run specifically for this type of game (assuming governments don't keep making a mess and telling people what they can and can't play no matter how old they are).

Yes, we’re not alone. My colleagues—studios that also develop adult games and even softcore visual novels—also received bans from the same Mary on Steam.

The situation looked the same as ours: a scenario similar to our two months of approvals from moderators with male usernames, followed by Mary’s refusal over “minors” (unfortunately, she’s their boss).Yeah, we are not only one the same.

Yes, a private site for adult games, independent from government censorship and pressure from payment systems, would solve the problem. But for now, indie developers with teams of 1–2 people like our studio can somehow survive only by releasing games on a platform that monopolistically controls the entire game market… Steam.
