The difficulty is too high. The second stage is extremely frustrating because the wall jump mechanics are too janky. Press jump? You fall down. Press in the direction you want to jump to? You fall down. The only way to do it correctly is to hold the direction you want to go and then immediately jump. But you still have to hold the direction of the incoming wall or else you don't grab it.
It's just ... a lot. It would be better to simplify that mechanic or to make the consequence less punishing. Perhaps you could make it so that the character doesn't slide down the wall. And that jumping while on the wall automatically pushes the player into the correct direction.
