The dash just works from left to right.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Can you tell me more about what you didnt understand and how many time you played? Also if the dash doesnt work, its probably that you re playing on your phone, and the mobile version is experimental, and on pc the dash follow the cursor of the mouse, if you could tell me exactly how far you gone in the game and what you didnt understand, i will be happy to fix it!!
