I know I'm late to this but you simply need to download it again without deleting the previous one and once you open up the new download then you will be able to get rid of the old one!!

Really? Uh, usually I don't care if I have to replay the whole thing again just so I don't get lost in context, so I just delete games if I'm done until what is available at that moment. Buut when i do download updated/most recent versions of the game my saves and everything are still there. I haven't tested that out on this game yet tho 🤷♀️
