It has actually never occurred in the history of Arsur that the child of the Crown became the next Crown. It's not a hereditary title, every time the previous one dies someone completely new has been chosen for the role! The children of Crowns (regardless of the Crown's gender) are referred to as Crownsblood to denote their lineage, but it doesn't afford them any political or noble rights: in fact they are barred from any political positions.
