Your previous saves should carry over automatically. Just download the new file and extract it (for Mac, Windows and Linux) or install it via the APK (for Android).
Do you delete the previous installation first? I tried installing the newest build over the previous one after deleting the old app and my saves didn't transfer. That's okay, they were old and I wanted to replay anyway but I wanted to make sure for next time
