I'm intrigued. I have rather mixed feelings about this novel (mostly good ones), but I guess that's to be expected.
So far, a lot is completely unclear; confusing conversations and a deliberate lack of information keep you guessing. The soundtrack is very appropriate and pleasant. It creates the game's style and doesn't get boring. However, on Android, the audio sometimes starts over after finishing, and the repeat is clearly audible. It ruins the atmosphere a bit, but nothing critical. Maybe I'm such a slow reader that the tracks have to play several times. Regardless, the music in the novel is gorgeous.
From here on, there may be some indirect spoilers. Or maybe not? I won't write about anything specific.
The plot is interesting, although many details are unclear to me. I have no complaints about the characters – each one looks unique visually, and their personalities are engaging, each in their own way. The main character, however, feels rather helpless at the moment, to be honest. Much has been made about him being in a cool organization, highly trained, smart, talented, skilled, and so on. The plot, admittedly, implies that despite all this, he's not particularly capable, but I still want him to have some tricks up his sleeve. I hope he'll have the opportunity to obtain or use them in future updates :)
And I hope even more that there will be updates. Because the novella is definitely worth reading. Even though the beginning seems like an introduction to the main characters, it definitely gets more interesting from there. If there were some mini-gambling games here and there, the results of which would have at least a minimal impact on the rest of the plot, that would be really cool. However, it's also resource-intensive and a bit complicated to implement, and because of them, we'll have to wait longer for updates...
Which I will definitely wait for. Updates, I mean. In short, I really liked it. I support this initiative and will eagerly await new updates. I hope my comment helps attract more people to the project :)
