Not sure which character you are talking about because the majority of them can be either male or female depending on your choices at the beginning of the game.
i gave it another try, 30 minutes in and i can say it is defenitely improved, altough the character even with different pronouns/ genitals feels a bit too maleish still, maybe a change in the character model itself could be helpful
